Executive Chef Chuck Abair invites diners to an exclusive evening featuring a seasonal Mediterranean menu and diverse wines from Napa Valley’s Cakebread Cellars, $100 per person

  On Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 6:15 p.m., Marina del Rey’s seaside dining destination CAFE del REY will host an intimate five-course wine pairing dinner (accommodating 40 guests in total), showcasing wines from Cakebread Cellars for $100 per person*. Executive Chef Chuck Abair will pair Cakebread Cellars’ renowned Napa Valley wine varietals with Mediterranean-inspired flavors in thoughtfully-prepared dishes such as:

  •  Sturgeon Latkes with red onion soubise, caviar, and crème fraîche
  • 2012 Sauvignon Blanc
  • Arctic Char with spinach, king mushrooms, coriander, and salmon “chicharónes”
  • 2012 Chardonnay
  • Pork Tenderloin with grilled escarole, apple relish, and braised pork beggar’s purse
  • 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Rack of Lamb with stuffed grape leaves, eggplant sofrito, and hummus
  • 2011 Pinot Noir
  • Grapefruit Bellini with grapefruit sorbet, raspberry, and candied pears
  • 2012 Tavistock Prosecco
