Huckleberry Bakery and Café is owned and operated by husband and wife team Zoe Nathan and Josh Loeb. Zoe and Josh fell in love while working together at their nearby restaurant Rustic Canyon Wine Bar and Seasonal Kitchen. Both are local products, born and raised in Santa Monica, and both have long shared a desire to open a local artisan bakery and cafe where friends, family and enthusiastic food lovers come together to eat delicious homemade bread, pastries and savory food in a warm casual atmosphere. Zoe, who learned to bake at Tartine Bakery in San Francisco, and worked in the kitchen at Lupa in New York City and Joe’s in Venice, is responsible for all of the food both sweet and savory. Josh, who opened Rustic Canyon Wine Bar and Seasonal Kitchen in December, 2006 oversees the operations of the bakery and café and stocks the specialty retail items. It is their goal to make you feel welcome and nourished every time you come into Huckleberry.

Everything served at Huckleberry is made on site using the best quality ingredients, including organic flour, Vahlrona chocolate and farmer’s market produce. The menu changes regularly with the seasons and on the baker’s whims.

Huckleberry offers dine in, take out and a full scale catering operation. Orders can be placed on the phone, online, as well as fax.
