Red O on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles invites guests to experience the restaurant like never before.  Beginning May 15th, the West Hollywood neighborhood locale will introduce a new menu, new cocktails, an extended wine list, and live entertainment seven nights a week. Happy Hour will be another new addition for guests to enjoy while relaxing in the stunning dining room, or an al fresco meal on its recently expanded outdoor patio. “At Red O we’re always striving to provide guests with a premier dining experience, whether enjoying Rick Bayless’ iconic cuisine, dedicated attentive service, the extensive wine and cocktail program, or the beauty and comfort of our new patio. We believe that a truly wonderful meal incorporates all these sensory experiences, and are so grateful for all the support and enthusiasm from our neighbors in the West Hollywood community over the past several years,” says General Manager Adrian Migliore.

Known as a dining destination to experience Master Chef Rick Bayless’s (James Beard Chef of the Year, PBS’ “Mexico One Plate at a Time,” Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters”) signature Mexican dishes including the Slow-Cooked Sonoma Duck Taquitos; Pork Belly Sopes; Yucatecan Shrimp and Calamar Ceviche; and Conchinita Pibil, the new menu at Red O will also feature Mexican takes on upscale meat, and seafood dishes including Wood Grilled Prime Ribeye (14 oz.); Maine Lobster Tail (10 oz.); Alaskan Halibut; and Baja Style Ahi Sashimi.

Red O Director of Wines & Spirits Dan Oliver, has boosted Red O’s already stellar bar program by adding new original cocktails utilizing fresh seasonal ingredients, house-made syrups and bitters, like the Chupacabra (Fig-infused Wild Turkey 81, DeKuyper Rouge, fresh lemon juice, Chinese 5 spice);  Smoke on the Water (Akvinta Vodka, Angostura Bitters, Laphroaig 10yr Mist, served up with a flamed orange peel); and the Noche en Oaxaca (Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Carpano Antica, Giffard Vanilla Liqueur, Mezcal essence;.  Red O’s commitment to its wine program continues as it extends its comprehensive list to feature more vintages and varietals rarely available at Mexican-inspired restaurants, like Mar de Frades, Albarino from Rias Baixsas (Spain) - a great all around white wine that pairs well with ceviche; Hacienda de Monasterio (Spain) - perfect for moles; and the exclusive 2010 Hundred Acre “Few and Far Between” Cabernet (Napa Valley).

In addition, guests can now enjoy Happy Hour at Red O, Sunday-Friday, from 5p.m.-6:30p.m., offering cocktail and wine specials and small bites including their signature Guacamole and chips for $6 (Classic, Yuzu, Macha, or Pomegranate-Walnut); Hanger Steak Soft Tacos ($6); and Mary’s Duck Confit Taquitos ($8).  Guests can enjoy $5 wines by the glass, seasonal sangria, and beer, plus  $7 specialty cocktails including the Frida (Caliche Rum, JM Sugarcane Syrup, fresh squeezed lime juice) and Nectar de Las Uvas (Leblon Cachaça, organic agave nectar, fresh lime juice, muddled fresh red and green grapes).

Red O is located at 8155 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90046.  Red O will be open for happy hour (5p.m.-6:30p.m., Sunday-Friday) and dinner (5p.m.-10p.m., Sunday-Wednesday; 5p.m.-11p.m. Thursday-Saturday) and brunch (11a.m.-3p.m., Sundays)
