Santa Monica restaurateurs Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan and Co-Owner/Executive Chef Shiho Yoshikawa debut the third location of their popular Sweet Rose Creamery on Wednesday, January 22. Located at 7565 Beverly Boulevard, just steps away from The Grove and Pan Pacific Park, and joining a bustling street of retail shops, restaurants, and cafes, the small batch ice cream shop boasts seating for twenty people inside and twelve on the outside patio.

Like its sister locations, the shop will feature a rotating selection of Yoshikawa’s classic and seasonally-inspired flavors of ice cream, such as Yam Swirl with Salty Sesame Brittle, Malted Chocolate with Hazelnut Praline, and Tangerine Sorbet, alongside her signature shakes, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, and more. Nathan’s acclaimed sweet and savory pastries—baked fresh daily at Milo & Olive—will also be available, alongside a full service espresso and coffee bar with single-origin pour-over, espresso and affogato options, and 24-hour cold brews from local roaster Caffe Luxxe.  Daily specials and seasonal flavors for each location can be found at www.sweetrosecreamery.com or by following Sweet Rose Creamery on Facebook and Twitter.

“Josh, Zoe, and I are thrilled to be opening our first Sweet Rose Creamery outside of West LA, and share our handmade, fresh ice cream and treats with this community,” says Yoshikawa. “We really love the vibrancy of this neighborhood. With so many schools, boutique shops, theaters, and parks nearby, we really looked to create a gathering place for visitors and residents alike.”

Designed by Los Angeles-based Montalba Architects, the 1,000-square-foot shop utilizes plywood and blackened steel as a gesture to its urban, mid-city location, but also incorporates natural elements, such as a trellis covered in passion fruit vines on the patio enclosure, as a nod to the nearby Pan Pacific Park. Chalkboard-painted cabinets and vintage schoolhouse chairs lend the space a youthful vibe and underscore its family-friendly atmosphere.
