Executive Chef Chuck Abair’s Easter spread draws inspiration from the Mediterranean coast and California’s vibrant Spring produce featuring grilled Tiger Shrimp with curry cilantro marinade and harissa vinaigrette and Eggs Norwegian with house cured salmon

WHAT:           On Sunday, April 20, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. –2:30 p.m., L.A.’s iconic seaside dining destination, CAFE del REY, welcomes guests for a 3-course prix-fixe Easter Brunch ($48) overlooking the scenic Marina. Executive Chef Chuck Abair derives culinary inspiration from the abundance of California spring produce such as asparagus, beets, fennel, and fava beans in addition to a selection of sustainable seafood sourced from Dawnfresh Farms. Included in the price of the prix-fixe menu is a choice of sparkling wine, cider, mimosas, and Bloody Marys. The restaurant’s Easter Brunch menu spotlights a taste of the Mediterranean with the following dishes:

Beet & Burrata Salad with lamb’s lettuce, marcona almonds, and jerez vinaigrette

Grilled Asparagus Salad with wild mushrooms, fried egg, shaved parmesan, and black truffle vinaigrette

Short Rib Hash with roasted red potatoes, shallots, garlic, spinach, and fried eggs

Eggs Norwegian with house cured salmon, poached eggs, brioche, arugula salad, and hollandaise

Crab Cake Sandwich served on an english muffin with arugula, shaved fennel, piquillo peppers, and tzatziki

Grilled Tiger Shrimp with curry cilantro marinade, farro, cucumber, edamame, haricot vert, and harissa vinaigrette

Salmon with corn purée, fava beans, red bell peppers, and green zucchini

Mussels with red wine, garlic, shallots, tomatoes, and served with grilled baguette
