Tortilla Republic Hosts Boo Ball And Day Of the Dead Celebrations

Modern Mexican Restaurant Offers Boo Bites, Specialty Cocktails and Menus in honor of Halloween and Dia de los Muertos  

Tortilla Republic will host its second annual Boo Ball with specialty cocktails and bites to coincide with the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval, one of the spookiest events in Los Angeles. The chic Mexican restaurant, situated within the boundaries of one of the world’s largest Halloween celebrations, will conjure the spirits with festive décor, DJs, photo booth, food and cocktail specials. Tortilla Republic will be serving the TR Witches Brew (recipe below) and contemporary Mexican tapas menu from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Signature Boo Bites include Shrimp Cakes with corn salsa, roasted red pepper, and chipotle aioli; TR Sliders featuring three mini TR hamburgers made with premium American Wagyu beef, roasted poblano, caramelized onion, chipotle aioli, watercress, sweet potato fries and cilantro and lime zest; and Seared Albacore Tuna Bites with ancho chile crusted albacore, mango and radish slaw, avocado, and salted chili lime.

Additionally, the modern Mexican restaurant will feature a four-course prix fixe to commemorate the Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) on Friday, November 1. The menu features a choice of Albondigas (meatballs) Potato Soup or Jicama, Avocado, Radish and Orange Salad with cilantro, followed by Esquites, creamy corn parfait. The main course choices include Pulled Chicken Mole Tamales or Salmon Pibil baked in banana leaves with roasted acorn squash and garlic spinach.  Guests will finish with a Pumpkin Flan for a sweet ending.
