White Light White Night, fundraiser festival

Story & Photos by Megan Ranegar Nothing beats a rooftop sunset view in Southern California…unless it’s a rooftop sunset view with fresh cocktails, good bites, and an even better cause. Last month’s “Party on the Pier” in Hermosa Beach was all things summer and social good. The event was hosted by Walk with Sally, an organization providing mentors for children with family members affected by cancer. Guests enjoyed cocktails and tequila popsicles from Patron, as well as drinks and bites from local favorites Strand Brewing Co, Uncorked Wine Shop, GumTree, Fresh Brothers, Killer Shrimp, and Silvios BBQ.

Last month’s fundraiser was a festive kick off for Walk with Sally’s 8th annual White Light White Night event. July’s place to be see and be seen (in an all white ensemble), this is more than just another white party. Attendees wear all white to both honor, comfort, and heal children dealing with the loss of a parent or sibling with cancer. Featuring more than 25 LA restaurants, live music from Berlin, and a Taste of Los Angeles silent and live auction, this is a party you don’t want to miss.
